He takes care of them and instead of books, gives the revolver in their hand. Bhaiyaji finds Dev (Ranvir) and Tutu (Ali Zafar) in the dust-bin when they were infants. Bhaiyaji (Govinda) is a don who kills people for money.

#Kill dil movie

Kill Dil is a movie set in Delhi and revolves around two gunmen working for a Don. The film has attractive photography and some entertaining songs.Only if some more care was taken to package it well, 2 songs were deleted.and Ranveer's role was carefully handled. Jarring because they are supposed to be killers. But then you can see all this on TV. The story selected is hackneyed and far too predictable. The musical part is excessive. There are a few attempts by the director to get into Tarantino style with similar music but it does not work probably because the jhatkas of choreographer Ganesh Acharya come in the way.You have Govinda the don with his shooters matching steps and doing a high voltage shivering dance. They also sing a ridiculous number in chorus. He is a combo of Gabbar Singh, Mogambo and Shakaal and pulls it off well. The long dramatic scene with Ranveer is very effectively done.Ī better film was expected form Director Shaad Ali. Most believable and convincing is the don Bhaiyyaji played by Govinda if you ignore the dancing. Similarly Parineeti is shown as a page 3 type driving a costly flashy car, wearing great clothes, living in swanky style but she is supposed to be in the job of rehabilitating criminals! Not convincing at all He has brother Ali for the bromance and chemistry. The tomfoolery and bonhomie is overdone to the point of irritating the audience. Is it possible for a ruthless contract killer to be a brat with wide eyed innocence.? You have Ranveer Singh styled like that. Having a Deja vu? Is it recycled Gunday? A bit of Desi Kattey? Yes a bit of each. Ranveer falls in love with Parineeti and wants to reform, Govinda does not like it, things happen and after a few twists it is a happy ending. Gangster Govinda finds two abandoned babies, brings them up as contract shooters, one grows up as Ranveer Singh and the other as Ali Zafar. Presently it is an unholy mix of both and the audience is at the receiving end. One thing is however clear that Director Shaad Ali could not make up his mind whether to make a serious gangster movie or a romantic musical movie. Maybe Tarantino also does not have the answer. Does kill/dil mean either kill or dil, or shoot at the dil if you want to kill or something else. Kill any desires you may have to see this movie and go and catch up on last week's backlog of movies instead. There is only so much you can see of spunky girl with a soft heart and not want to gag. Ranveer is uninhibited as usual but that wide eyed li'l lost boy look doesn't go well on a killer., Ali Zafar shuld do kinder, gentler roles since this kind of stuff obviously gives him piles and Parineeti needs to seriously lose weight and try out a different role soon or lose the fan base she has. A total waste of what could have been the movie's saving grace. But he gets too few scenes and too few dance steps. Govinda is the only real person in this fairy tale idiocy. Sorry you died a long while ago, maybe half an hour into the movie. When you are not comfortable in a milieu it shows and kills authenticity. A Yash Raj film gangster is styled by Aki Narula and his barsaati with a bunk bed and distressed wood furniture would be the dream home of a young yuppie couple in a Mumbai suburb. They are best off in dealing with people who live in fancy homes with large extended families and who go on vacations to nice places with chalets. Yash Raj movies shouldn't attempt gritty. In Yash Raj Land happy things happen to Good -At- Heart gangsters. Boy loses girl, tries to kill himself, wins her back and then they all work in an insurance company and live happily ever after. Tries to turn over a new leaf helped by his buddy. One falls in love with a rich, educated girl.

Kill dil is kill interest, kill excitement and kill audience. The entire movie is made to support these three expressions and since that is a kind of lame premise to build a story on, the movie is a senseless, illogical bore. Kill dil has three constants: Ranveer's wide eyed innocent look, Ali Zafar's pained, hang dog look and Parineeti's plump smart assed look channeled from all her previous movies.
